Affiliate Disclosure

USHomeFinanceGuide earns money in two ways: advertising and affiliate links. This page explains both plainly, because you deserve to know how a site you read for free pays for itself.

Amazon Associates

USHomeFinanceGuide is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When an article links to a product on Amazon and you buy something after following that link, we may receive a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.

How affiliate links are marked

Affiliate links appear inside a shaded tip box that carries this note: "These are Amazon Associate links — we may earn a small commission on qualifying purchases." If you see that box, the links inside it are affiliate links. Links in the body of an article that point to news outlets, government pages, manufacturers, or research are ordinary links and earn nothing.

What a commission does not buy

  • No brand, seller, or advertiser pays to be written about here, and none reviews or approves an article before it is published.
  • A product is never recommended because it carries a commission. Where a cheaper option or no purchase at all is the better answer, that is what the article says.
  • Where a product category is genuinely a matter of taste or where the evidence is thin, the article says so rather than manufacturing a recommendation.

Prices and availability

Prices, star ratings, and stock change constantly, so this site deliberately does not print them. Check the current price on the retailer's page before buying. Nothing here is a guarantee that an item is in stock, discounted, or suitable for you.

Advertising

This site also displays advertising served by Google and other third-party vendors. Those ads are chosen by the ad network, not by the publisher, and their appearance next to an article is not an endorsement. How advertising cookies work, and how to opt out of personalised ads, is explained on the Privacy Policy page.
